HCYA AGM will take place on Thursday 4th February 2021 @ 7pm via Zoom

The meeting is open to all members of HCYA which includes section members from all the different groups such as the Walkie Talkies, Wine Guild, Pilates and Bridge. Please make every effort to attend the AGM where we can update you on how Hallam Community and Youth Association has responded to the challenges of 2020 to ensure the survival of your local Village Hall. We will also be voting in Committee members so if you wish to get involved we will be providing more information about the roles available in the New Year. So if your New Year Resolution is to get involved locally this might just fit the bill!

4. Election of Officers (for the Executive Committee)

The current Executive are all willing to stand for re-election for the remainder of the period ending at the AGM in November 2021. Please note that the honorary President of the Association is a permanent office, and is therefore not elected.

Council wishes to encourage new and different members to become involved in the running of the Association in a variety of elected and non-elected positions. Information about the eight elected offices above will soon be available on the website. Please email any of the people above for further information. Please email the Chair or Vice-Chair if there is a new activity or role within HCYA you would like to suggest. We are very open to new ideas!

Council is recommending no increase in subs for the year beginning September 2021 (ie they should remain at £20, if paying by DD, or £23 if paying by cheque). This needs to be approved or amended at this AGM.

Council is considering removing the part annual subscription fee for a new member joining midway through the year. For organisational simplicity we are currently of the opinion that the single annual fee should apply for the full year, or for part of the year. For example, if a new member joins in September or January or March the subscription fee remains the same and there is no proportional reduction. For existing members there is no change. The new arrangement has nothing to do with when your normal DD is taken from your bank account. Please note, this change does not need to be voted on at the AGM.

AGM for the year ending 31st August 2021 will be held in November 2021 as usual, in the absence of Covid restrictions.
